This Adirondack rocker is handcrafted one at a time by a retired woodworker with over 70 years of life experience and a passion for building furniture that outlasts the trends. Every rocker takes 60 hours to build — because that's what it takes to do it right.

This is not mass-produced furniture. It's made by hand, with care, from materials that cost what quality costs. You'll feel the difference the moment you sit down.

The fact is that most Adirondack Rockers/Chairs are uncomfortable, poorly made from low quality wood, mass-produced overseas, over-priced, not very sturdy, and don't last more than a few seasons at best. That's not a surprise, given that much of what you are paying for is corporate profit/overhead, marketing and distribution/shipping: little is left over for actual materials and production. 

For not much more than the mass-produced furniture, you can get a much more comfortable rocker/chair made of 1.5-inch-high quality wood (Redwood, Alaska Yellow or Western Red Cedar, Eastern Red Cedar, White Oak, or Walnut), galvanized/ceramic coated hardware lasts forever, sealed screw holes to prevent water intrusion, well routed and sanded, and finished with a high-quality semi-transparent penetrating UV-protecting oil finish.

Curved back slats provide wonderful lumbar support. Cedar and Redwood last for decades. For an additional fee, I can add an inch on each side for those that would like a 2" wider rocker. Chair covers are also available for $45, my cost from Amazon.  Youth rockers and chairs are also available.
